all together, with feeling now, comfort food*

our Italian go-to.

Osvaldo has become exactly that – when we want a nice Italian meal on weekdays after work, Osvaldo is a no-brainer. It’s very near my office and a train stop away from M’s; the food is always tasty and the environs rustic and cosy. Nothing too pretentious, and value for money.

The ever-delish fettucine with porcini mushroom. The sauce is yummy to the last drop!

A hastily-grabbed shot of M’s vongole & mussel pasta … again, salty broth goodness :)

Their tiramisu, warm chocolate souffle, and bread basket are also sinful but heavenly. Aside from the halting, brusque front-of-house service, we had a great dinner as we’ve come to expect.

very much so! I’d give the much-lauded wild boar ragout a miss though, Di had it when we were there for lunch and it wasn’t stunning.

oh! must try the chicken soup with raviolini! super comforting if you love clear soups.

Hi Joy! It’s something like 25-ish for pastas and risottos, mains are in the 30+ mark i believe. Desserts are 10-ish, while the raviolini soup I love (but didn’t order this time) is $14 a bowl. Good-sized portions though. M and I always order 1 bowl of soup and split it between us – just nice. :)
