Hello! It’s been awhile since I last stopped by here; it has been one of those weeks where I didn’t have time to catch my breath. Phew.
M and I haven’t spent a whole lot of time together these weeks, because he’s been busy studying for his CFA exam and it’s also his busy ‘season’ at work. So I was really excited about today because he’d set aside the afternoon for some time together.
We went to Plaza Singapura to run an errand, and at the Toy Outpost on Level 7 (one of those stores that have concession boxes selling everything from handphone covers to miniature bak chor mee the size of your little toe) they were selling OPI nail polishes for $15!
I bought a jade green shade I’ve been hunting for forever, called Mermaid’s Tears – part of the latest Pirates of the Carribbean collection.
Next stop – Park Mall. Lots of new boutiques in there since we last went.
Charmed by what we saw at the small branch, we made a spontaneous trip to the lovely Grafunkt flagship store in Macpherson.
The designer, Nathan Yong, was there and he was really nice and down to earth. (If you do go, I highly recommend you talk to him than his staff who are nowhere nearly as clued-in or friendly.)
And this is what we ended up buying (!) –
It’s really exciting but also surreal that we bought some big pieces for our apartment… I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it. It’s such a big decision but in the end we went with our gut since it’s not been often that a piece speaks to us.
Can’t wait to move on in (like, now) and share photos of the pieces in action! Whee.
