all together, with feeling now

Nifty gifts.

Hello my dears!

December is simply whizzing past, and Christmas is so close I can smell the gingerbread cookies. (Not to mention get blinded by the blue-and-white Christmas lights along Orchard Road.)

Have you started your Christmas gift shopping? Or maybe you were done since November?

We started early (earlier) this year, and have since completed 95% of our gift shopping, which is a relief! I’ve learnt that looking out for good gifts pays off well, and a recent happy discovery was Omoi‘s online store, that has tons of goodies perfect for gift-giving this Christmas.

Omoi is a Philadelphia-based Zakka (雑貨) shop. According to Wikipedia, Zakka stores sell anything and everything to improve your home, life, and appearance. Zakka is also a way of looking at the world – “the art of seeing the savvy in the ordinary and mundane”. Lovely, eh!

These deadstock folding Wayfarers are awesome – your super-stylish girlfriend would love them.

For your minimalism-loving colleague, this Takumi icon clock  in soft shades of pink, mint, black and white is perfect.

For mum’s dry hands, these Worker B lotions nourish with organic almond oil, organic olive oil, beeswax, raw honey, propolis tincture, and vitamin E. Choose from four flower oil scents – Chamomile, Rosemary, Lavender, Bergamot – that were pollinated by bees! How cool is that. :-)

Indulge a tea-loving friend with this gorgeous modern teapot, the Sorapot by Joey Roth. Made of stainless steel, Pyrex borosilicate glass, and food-grade silicone, it is both a beautiful display piece and a handy item to brew your tea in. The tea leaves floating about the pot would be so pretty to watch, wouldn’t it? (Although probably not so great to drink along with the tea!)

These Baggu pouches are a practical but cute gift for your brother’s girlfriend.

And finally, for your best friend who still keeps a diary of thoughts, this olive-green O-Check journal would be a trusty, inviting confidante.
